This Privacy Policy explains how FaceMask (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App. It applies to the App and related support communications.
FaceMask is a face-privacy editing tool. It can detect faces automatically and lets you apply generated privacy covers (including rainbow grid, black-and-white privacy grid, and solid color), blur or pixelation effects, stickers, and manual adjustments. You can review the result, save it as an in-app Artwork, export it to Photos, or share it using the iOS share sheet.
The App receives a photo only when you select it, open an Artwork already stored by the App, or capture a photo with the camera. Your original and edited images are processed locally on your device. They are not sent to Firebase, RevenueCat, or our servers for face detection or image editing.
The App uses Apple’s Vision framework on your device to identify face regions. During an editing session, it may temporarily use face bounding boxes and detection confidence values to position effects. The App does not use this information to identify a person, compare identities, authenticate users, or create a biometric profile or faceprint.
Temporary face-detection results are used for the current editing workflow and are not uploaded to us. Closing or leaving the workflow releases temporary editing data in accordance with normal iOS memory management.
The App does not automatically store every edited photo. When you choose to save an Artwork, however, the App stores the rendered image, a thumbnail, creation date, title, effect description, and detected face count in the App’s local storage. When you export or share an image, Apple’s Photos service or the destination you choose may retain a copy under its own terms.
Camera photos may also be saved to Photos when the App’s auto-save setting is enabled. You can change this preference in the App’s settings.

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to display offerings and determine subscription or purchase entitlement status. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous App User ID, product and entitlement identifiers, subscription status, transaction or receipt information, last-seen time, and limited device or app information. The App stores settings such as haptic feedback, automatic photo saving, review-prompt timing, and similar preferences locally on your device.
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it to respond to your request and provide support.

If you choose to share an edited image, the recipient or third-party destination you select will handle that image under its own privacy practices.
Deleting the App removes its local container from your device under normal iOS behavior, but it does not automatically delete copies exported to Photos, shared elsewhere, Apple purchase records, or information retained by service providers under their policies.
Firebase and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, they and we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No device, storage method, or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, service providers, or legal requirements. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice when required by law.
