These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using Media Compressor (the "App"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you are deemed to agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Important: The App is a tool that helps you create smaller copies of your own photos and videos on your device. Single-item compression is available for free; batch compression for photos and videos is available through a one-time purchase.
For photos and videos that you select, the App performs the following processing entirely on your device:
The App always produces separate compressed copies. Your original photos and videos are never modified or overwritten.
The App relies on the codecs and capabilities provided by the operating system of your device. Some items may not be supported, including but not limited to:
Supported formats, dimensions and availability may change with the operating system version or device model.
The developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the App for personal and lawful purposes, subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable terms of use.

You are responsible for the photos and videos you select and for the results you save or share. You must ensure that you have the necessary rights to import, compress, save or share the items you choose, and that doing so complies with applicable law and the rights of any third parties.
The App may offer a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks batch compression for photos and videos permanently. This is not an auto-renewing subscription, and no recurring charges are made.
Purchases, billing, transaction confirmation and entitlement management are handled through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Purchases are subject to the App Store terms applicable to your Apple Account. Using the "Restore Purchases" function in the App may restore eligible purchases linked to the same Apple Account.
The price shown on the purchase confirmation screen applies. Taxes, currency and regional pricing may be determined or adjusted by Apple. A one-time purchase unlocks access to the applicable features in the App as offered at the time of purchase, and does not unconditionally guarantee access to all future features, separate apps or external services.
Eligibility and handling of refunds are determined by Apple in accordance with Apple's terms and refund policy. To request a refund, use the purchase history or problem-reporting procedure provided by Apple.
All compression of the photos and videos you select is performed on your device, and nothing is uploaded to the developer's servers. For details on the handling of saved items, shared items and purchase information, please review the App's Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property rights in the App, including its software, design, text, images, logos and other components, belong to the developer or the rightful holders. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App to you, and they do not transfer ownership of any photos or videos you import to the developer.
The developer may change the App's features, supported formats, design or delivery method for reasonable reasons such as quality improvement, security, or adapting to operating system changes. The developer may also discontinue the App where there is a reasonable reason to do so.
Changes to your device, operating system, the App Store or network conditions may make the App, in whole or in part, unavailable. The developer does not guarantee that the App will work permanently on all future devices and operating systems.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is". The developer does not warrant that the App will always operate without interruption or errors, that compression will always reach the exact target, that metadata removal will be absolute, or that compressed copies will be suitable for every purpose or platform.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, missed opportunities or other losses arising from the use or inability to use the App. This section does not exclude any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are formed between you and the developer, not between you and Apple. Apple is not the provider of the App and is not responsible for its maintenance or support. However, your use of the App may be subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and applicable Apple standard terms. In case of conflict, applicable law and Apple's mandatory requirements prevail.
The developer may update these Terms as the App's features, transactional conditions or legal requirements change. When important changes occur, they will be announced on this page or within the App. The update date is shown at the top of this page.
These Terms are subject to applicable law, without prejudice to any consumer protection or other mandatory laws of your place of residence. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.
